Mount Aono (Aono-yama) is a mountain standing at an altitude of 224 meters, located in Utazu Town, Kagawa Prefecture. The summit features a well-maintained observatory where visitors can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the islands scattered across the Seto Inland Sea, the majestic Seto Ohashi Bridge, and the urban area of Utazu. Efforts have been made to maintain the natural environment while developing the area into a space for community leisure. The greatest charm of Mount Aono is undoubtedly the view from the summit. The sight of the beautiful islands in the Seto Inland Sea never fails to captivate visitors. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the beautiful rows of cherry blossoms in spring, offering an exceptional view of the bridge through the blossoms. While the ascent to the summit is on foot, the paths are well-maintained and relatively easy to walk. However, since you are walking in a natural environment, please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes (such as sneakers). Depending on the season, we recommend bringing a hat and a light jacket to prepare for changes in weather or temperature. Please note that payments at facilities or parking areas near the summit are primarily handled in cash. To protect the environment, please ensure you take all your trash home and follow proper etiquette to avoid damaging the local flora.
