The most striking feature is the sight of approximately 1 million 'double-flowered' (yae) sunflowers blooming in front of Mt. Tsukuba, one of Japan's top 100 mountains. Unlike standard sunflowers, these double-flowered varieties offer a much more voluminous and lush appearance, creating a sea of yellow that mesmerizes all who visit. Under the bright summer sun, the contrast between the vivid yellow blossoms and the deep blue sky creates a breathtakingly beautiful natural landscape.

One popular experience is the 'Cut Flower Garden,' where you can purchase a bouquet of sunflowers to take home as a summer memory (for example, 5 stems for 500 JPY). The venue also hosts musical stages and seasonal events like the 'Wind Chime Road,' allowing you to experience the sounds and lights of the season in a truly immersive way.
The Akino area is a place where nature and culture blend seamlessly. The surrounding area is dotted with historical shrines, temples, and beautiful landscapes, many of which are featured in the 'Chikusei Charm Walking Map.'
