Adashino Nenbutsu-ji is a historic temple located in the deep reaches of Sagano, Kyoto. Every year, during the last Saturday and Sunday of August, the temple hosts the 'Sen-to Kuyo' (Thousand Lamp Offering). During the Sen-to Kuyo period, visitors can obtain special Goshuin (temple stamps) that are only available during this event.
