138 Tower Park is a highly distinctive destination located within the vast National Kiso Sansen Park, which spans the borders of Aichi, Gifu, and Mie prefectures. The park's symbol is the "Twin Arch 138," a stunning 138-meter tall observation tower with two beautiful arches that creates an overwhelming presence for all visitors. The expansive grounds feature seasonal flowers, diverse playground equipment for children, and wide-open lawns, making it a beloved spot where visitors can enjoy both nature and leisure simultaneously.
The area has developed alongside the flow of the rivers known as the Kiso Sansen. As a national park, the site is designed with the theme of coexistence with nature, providing a space for recreation that utilizes the region's rich natural environment. Historically, the development of this area has focused on river management while creating a place of rest where people can enjoy the blessings of nature.
The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the "Twin Arch 138." From the high observation deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape with an unobstructed view. Other must-see spots include the "Rose Stream," where seasonal roses are planted, and the flower fields that change expression with the seasons. The cosmos flowers, in particular, are a delight for the eyes. For families, the park is packed with popular equipment such as the "Fuwa Fuwa Dome" and "Waku Waku Slider," ensuring fun for all generations.
Depending on when you visit, the experience changes beautifully. From spring to summer, we recommend enjoying leisure activities on the lush green lawns. In autumn, the landscape is vibrantly colored by blooming cosmos and other seasonal flowers. Additionally, during specific periods (August 13–15 and November 23–December 25), the park stays open until 21:00, allowing you to enjoy the atmosphere of the night illuminations. We recommend daytime visits for picnics and activities, and evening visits for a special, atmospheric experience.
There are plenty of activities to suit the vast space. You can relax on the large lawn or participate in various events at the event plaza. Renting a bicycle is also a highly recommended way to explore the park. With large-scale playground equipment that children love, the environment is perfect for an active family outing. Whether it is cycling through nature or strolling through seasonal flower beds, the possibilities for enjoyment are endless.
138 Tower Park is part of the larger Kiso Sansen National Park, which serves as a massive leisure area. The surrounding areas near the riverbanks allow you to feel the dynamism of nature. Located near the borders of Aichi, Gifu, and Mie, it is also an excellent destination for a scenic drive.
As most activities are outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing items to protect against sunlight, such as hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. If you use a rental bicycle, wearing a helmet is a best-effort requirement. While free helmet rentals are available, they are limited in number, so bringing your own is advised. Please note that children under 13 must wear a helmet to use rental bicycles.
