The Dog Run at Kibagata Park in Komatsu, Ishikawa, is a special spot to connect with your pet amidst beautiful nature. The vast facility features three distinct areas tailored to dog size, ensuring a safe environment for exercise. It is especially valuable for large breeds with high energy or younger dogs looking to develop social skills. Deepen your bond with your pet in this serene, natural setting.
The biggest draw is the 'off-leash' freedom. The facility covers 1,664m² and is divided into three sections to prevent trouble between different breeds: 'Yoshitsune' for small dogs, 'Toshi' for medium dogs, and 'Benkei' for large dogs. This ensures optimal exercise for every dog. With rest areas and water stations available, both pets and owners can stay comfortable. Watching your dog sprint through the gentle evening breeze is a blissful experience.
The next scheduled session is August 29, 2026. General operating hours are 15:00–17:00 on weekdays and 13:00–17:00 on weekends/holidays. Please note that the facility may close during summer (July/August) and winter (January/February) due to seasonal restrictions. For the late August date, please check official Facebook pages for any sudden changes due to weather or maintenance.
The venue is located within the Central Area of Kibagata Park. You can access the dog run via the Central Area 2nd Parking Lot. We recommend checking the route from the parking lot in advance to enjoy a smooth walk with your pet through the scenic lakeside scenery.
To ensure a smooth visit, please prepare the following: Visitors must provide proof of rabies vaccination. This is a mandatory requirement for entry. If you wish to book the entire area for private use, please contact the Park Center (TEL: 0761-43-3106) in advance. Private bookings are limited to 20 people per area and must be arranged outside of standard opening hours (7:00–20:00).
