Celebrating its 38th year, the "Yamaguchi Prefecture Beach Volleyball in Hagi" is a special sporting event where intense competition meets the breathtaking scenery of Kikugahama coast. Organized by the Yamaguchi Prefecture Volleyball Association, the Yamaguchi Prefecture Beach Volleyball Federation, and the Hagi Volleyball Association, the event is supported by the local Hagi City government and education board.
The tournament offers a diverse lineup of categories: Men's 2-player, Women's 2-player, Boys, Girls, and Mixed 4-player teams. Participation is open to men and women high school age and older, on a first-come, first-served basis. Experience the dynamic rallies and teamwork on the sand in this cherished local tradition.
The greatest draw is the dynamic contrast between the high-energy volleyball matches and the stunning white sands and blue sea of Hagi's famous Kikugahama. The movement of the players against the natural beauty of the coast creates a spectacular sight for spectators.
You can enjoy different paces of play, from the strategic 2-player tournament format to the fast-paced 4-player league and finals. Whether you are a competitor or a spectator, the open atmosphere of the summer seaside makes it a perfect way to spend a summer day in Hagi.
The tournament will be held on the following dates in July 2026:
The venue is Kikugahama Beach in Hagi City, known for its beautiful coastline.
