Urabon-e is held every August at Suzutachi-san Wakamatsu-ji Temple in Tendo, Yamagata Prefecture. Wakamatsu-ji is a place of profound faith, home to Wakamatsu Kannon, a deity known for granting matchmaking blessings (enmusubi).
