Tsukinami-sai is a significant ritual held at the historic Utsunomiya Futarayama Shrine in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture. Note: The shrine performs various blessings throughout the year (such as prenatal, Shichi-Go-San, and traffic safety prayers). The reception-desk hours are from 08:30 to 15:50, with blessings occurring every 30 minutes starting from 09:00.

Access is available via public transportation or car. The shrine features a multi-story parking lot. If you are visiting for a vehicle blessing (Kuruma-harai), please use the designated area located at the top of the parking lot slope.
To fully appreciate the experience, it is helpful to understand local customs. For certain rituals, specific items may be needed (such as belly bands for prenatal blessings). If you wish to receive a Goshuin (sacred stamp), they are available at the shrine office.
Please note that most payments are handled in cash. The cost for a Goshuin is 500 JPY. For ritual blessings (Hatsuo-ryo), prices vary based on the type of prayer, typically ranging from 7,000 JPY to 20,000 JPY. We recommend preparing cash in advance.
No prior reservation is required for most blessings or visits; you can apply directly at the reception on the day. However, please be aware that there may be a wait during major festivals.
As the shrine is a sacred space, please dress modestly and respectfully. For those participating in specific ceremonies like Shichi-Go-San, traditional attire is appropriate. When receiving a vehicle blessing, please follow the instructions to drive forward and park in the designated area. Please maintain a quiet and respectful demeanor throughout your visit.
