Aoshima OninoSentakuban Aquathlon 2026 is an aquathlon event held at Aoshima Beach in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture. The stage is the beautiful Aoshima Beach, offering views of the 'OninoSentakuban' (natural monument). In addition to swimming and running, the 2026 edition introduces the new 'Sunset Ekiden' category. With 8 categories available, the event is designed for a wide range of participants, from beginners and veterans to children. An after-party is also planned for participants to gather and socialize after the competition.
The biggest highlight is competing against the backdrop of the iconic 'OninoSentakuban' rock formations, a symbol of Miyazaki. In addition to the standard aquathlon, the 'Sunset Ekiden' held during the evening scenery is a unique category for this event. After the race, an after-party will be held for participants to interact. The cost of the party is included in the competition entry fee. This event is not just about the race, but also about building community.
The event will be held on June 6, 2026 (Saturday). The event time is from 13:00 to 18:00. The registration period is from February 4, 2026 (Wednesday) to April 26, 2026 (Sunday), and registration will close once the capacity is reached. The venue is around the 'ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki / Aoshima Beach' in Miyazaki Prefecture. The competition utilizes the coastline of Aoshima Beach. Access from Miyazaki City is available via car or public transportation. The area is well-developed for tourism with many nearby accommodation facilities.
The event consists of 8 categories, including Long, Standard, and Kids categories. You can choose a category that matches your skill level. Registration is done online and is handled on a first-come, first-served or capacity basis. Popular categories may fill up quickly, so early registration is highly recommended. The after-party is included in the competition fee, so no separate application is required.
You will need swimwear, running wear, running shoes, and swimming gear. Since an after-party is also expected, consider bringing a change of clothes. Payment for entry is via online pre-payment. Regarding cash or card usage at the venue, please check the payment methods for local food and beverage purchases. As there is no official mention of English support, please prepare accordingly.
