Guida
Shokoku-ji, the head temple of the Rinzai sect, invites you to its seasonal 'Special Viewing' this autumn. This exclusive program offers a guided tour through precious architectural structures and cultural assets that are usually only accessible during very specific times. Explore significant buildings such as the Hodo, Hojo, and Kaizan-do to experience the profound depth of Japanese Zen culture amidst the crisp autumn air.
The main attraction is the opportunity to deepen your understanding of historical architecture and cultural assets through expert commentary. You will learn the stories behind the details that visitors might otherwise overlook during a standard tour.
The special viewing is held for a limited time from September 26, 2026, to December 15, 2026.
