"Shodoshima Universal Beach at Furusato Village Beach" is a program designed to provide universal experiences, ensuring everyone can enjoy the blessings of the sea and nature. Located near the famous Olive Beach in Shodoshima, known for its high water clarity, this event allows you to enjoy marine sports and nature experiences in the Seto Inland Sea.
Beyond simple leisure, the concept is to feel the rich natural environment of Shodoma and spend a relaxing time while gazing at the scenery. Programs are designed to be safe and enjoyable for beginners, families with small children, and even those not used to being in the ocean.
The greatest charm is the activity in the calm waves and exceptionally clear waters of the Seto Inland Sea. For example, the Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) uses large, stable boards, allowing you to stand up easily after just a few minutes of instruction. Because your viewpoint is higher, you can enjoy a wider panoramic view than with sea kayaking.
During your cruise, you can lie on the board to look up at the sky or take photos with the beautiful scenery. From the sea, you can view the famous Greek-style windmills and olive groves of the inner bay, experiencing Shodoshima's iconic landscapes from a special angle. As most tours are small-group based, you can also deepen your knowledge of the island's history and nature through communication with instructors.
The event date is as follows:
The venue is located along the beautiful coastline of Shodoshima. The specific starting point is around Olive Beach.
While renting a car or using a bus is common for traveling within Shodoshima, it is recommended to check access to coastal areas in advance.
Preparation is key to enjoying marine sports safely. Programs include instructions on how to use equipment, sea safety, and warm-up exercises. Even beginners can participate with peace of mind under instructor guidance. Additionally, there are plans where children aged 3 and older can participate in a tandem style, allowing the whole family to enjoy a walk on the water.
Please prepare appropriate clothing and items for entering the sea.
