"A Cold Story" is a science show held at the Yamanashi Prefectural Science Museum featuring experiments with ultra-low temperature liquids. This program demonstrates scientific phenomena through experiments that cool various objects using liquid at -196°C.
The most striking feature of this show is the use of extremely low-temperature materials, specifically liquid at -196°C. You will witness how extreme temperatures affect matter through live experiments. The show takes place at set times at the 1F Science Show Booth.
The event runs from July 18, 2026 (Sat) to August 30, 2026 (Sun). There are two sessions per day:
The venue is the "Science Show Booth" located on the 1F of the Yamanashi Prefectural Science Museum.
Participants should go directly to the venue at the scheduled time. Capacity is limited to 35 people on a first-come, first-served basis. If the capacity is reached, spectators will be allowed to watch standing up. As the experiments are viewed up close, it is recommended to arrive a few minutes before the start time.
