Surrounded by the rich nature of Toei Town, Aichi Prefecture, 'Noki Yama Gakko' presents its limited-time summer outdoor program: 'Kayaking & River Play Experience.' This program is part of the activities at the 'Toei Town Experience Exchange Center Noki Yama Gakko,' a facility that revitalizes and utilizes a former wooden elementary school closed in 2010.

The setting is the beautiful Ochise River. You can enjoy the scenery of Japan's lush satoyama (rural landscape) from a unique perspective via kayaking. Rather than just sightseeing, this is an experiential program where you can connect with local nature and learn through hands-on activities, truly living up to the name of a 'school.'

The main highlight is the kayaking experience on the beautiful Ochise River. Viewing the scenery from a low angle near the water surface provides a completely different sense of awe compared to looking from the land. Using 2-person kayaks, this is a perfect opportunity for parents and children or friends to strengthen their communication by working together to paddle.

The activity takes place near the Tokiwa Bridge on the beautiful Ochise River in Toei Town.

Participation Points

This program is designed for families. With a capacity of only 4 families (small group style), it offers a high-quality, intimate experience. Each group uses one 2-person kayak, allowing you to enjoy an aquatic adventure with your family or partner.

As this is an outdoor activity, the program may be modified or canceled depending on weather or river water levels. To ensure a safe and enjoyable time, it is important to prepare in advance and follow local instructions.
