Event Overview

This hiking event takes place in the historic area of Kiyama, Fukuoka. Participants will walk the route from the Nakanoo stone foundation group to the Dai-oseki group within the Ki-i Castle ruins. The Dai-oseki group features large granite foundations of a structure with a massive 10x3 ken scale, positioned to offer a commanding view of the surroundings.

Venue & Access

The venue is the Ki-i Castle ruins area in Kiyama. The nearest station is JR Kiyama Station, approximately a 10-minute drive from the station. From the pedestrian bridge at Kiyama Station, you can enjoy views of the Ki-i Castle ruins and the Sekiya earthen walls. Parking is available in the vicinity.

Participation Tips

This program focuses on observing historical stone foundations. It is recommended to learn a bit about the local history beforehand to enhance your experience. You can also visit the Kiyama Municipal Library to view local historical materials, including tiles excavated from the Ki-i Castle ruins.
