Kanoya Natsu Matsuri is a traditional summer festival held in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The 2026 schedule includes the Eve Festival on July 31 and the Main Festival on August 1. The highlight is the massive parade of approximately 3,000 dancers moving through the streets to the rhythm of the Hannya Bushi folk song. The event concludes with a spectacular 'dispersed fireworks' display launched simultaneously from three different locations in the city center.
