During the 'Beetle House' season at Hitachi Seaside Park, the 'Exciting! Summer Vacation Craft Square' opens up. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, this area located next to the Nature House offers various craft experiences and traditional Japanese Yo-Yo fishing for children and families.
The main highlight is the variety of daily craft workshops. You can experience making items like kaleidoscopes or planetarium bottles, with different activities available depending on the day. Additionally, the popular Yo-Yo fishing—a staple of the Japanese summer—is held daily, allowing visitors to create tangible keepsakes from their visit.
The Craft Square is held on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during the Beetle House period. Specific dates are as follows:
Operating Hours: 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Please note that activities will end once materials run out.
The venue is located in front of the 'Sawada Yusui Nature House' within Hitachi Seaside Park. As the park is very large, we recommend checking the location of the Nature House in advance.
Craft activities change daily, offering a variety of items such as making kaleidoscopes or 'Fure-rin & Moko-ta' planetarium bottles. Yo-Yo fishing is also held daily. Since materials are limited, it is highly recommended to arrive and register early.
