The 27th Izena Shoen-O Matsuri is one of the largest community events held on Izena Island, Okinawa. Centered around the history and culture of the island, the festival offers a diverse program from day to night. Visitors can enjoy a unique blend of nature and culture through seaside sports, stage performances, and historical tours.
The festival is characterized by its varied programming throughout the day. During the daytime, enjoy seaside soccer matches and various coastal activities. As evening approaches, the seaside outdoor stage comes alive with local children's dance performances, music live shows, and special stage acts. The night brings a vibrant atmosphere with special lighting and performances, making it a truly special time to experience the island's spirit amidst its natural beauty.

The main venues are the Seaside Area and the Seaside Outdoor Stage on Izena Island. To reach Izena Island, you must take a ferry from the Okinawa main island (Naha). For movement within the island, it is recommended to check the shuttle bus schedules in advance, as they may operate during the event period.
The event takes place in open-air environments such as the seaside stage and public squares. Daytime programs include seaside sports and historical walking tours, allowing you to feel the island's nature directly. The evening stage programs feature local artists and groups, offering a high-energy atmosphere.
As the event is held outdoors, sun protection and heatstroke prevention are essential. Please bring a hat and plenty of water.
