What to Bring & Etiquette

• *Footwear**: As you will be entering the Hojo and Zen hall, you will be required to remove your shoes. We recommend wearing shoes that are easy to slip on and off.
• *Photography**: Photography and video recording inside the buildings (Hojo and Zen hall) are strictly prohibited. Please refrain from using cameras or smartphones.
• *Payment**: The entrance fee is a donation (shino) for temple repairs. It is 500 JPY for general entry, or 1,000 JPY if you wish to make a donation for a 'Ken-gawara' (commemorative tile with your name). Please check the official website for details.
