Hosted at the historic Yokiso in the Kakuozan area of Nagoya, the 'First Tea Ceremony Experience' is designed for elementary school students and their guardians. Led by a tea master, participants will enjoy matcha and seasonal sweets while learning the fundamentals of Japanese tea etiquette in an easy-to-understand way.

Participants will experience the elegance of Japanese tea culture through a guided session by a tea master. A unique part of the program involves children learning to prepare matcha themselves and then serving it to their guardians, creating a meaningful connection to tradition within the beautiful, historic atmosphere of Yokiso.

The event will be held on August 9, 2026. There are four sessions available:

Venue and Access
Venue: Yokiso (Kitazen) Sanshotei. Yokiso is a stunning historic villa built between the Taisho and early Showa eras, offering a glimpse into the sophisticated architecture and lifestyle of old Nagoya.
Participation Details
This event is specifically for elementary school students and their parents/guardians. Each session is limited to 4 groups and requires advanced registration. If applications exceed capacity, participants will be selected via a lottery system.
