Tanabe Fireworks Festival is a grand event held at Ogihama in Tanabe City, Wakayama, steeped in local history and tradition. The 56th edition follows the theme "Tanabe Mankai," celebrating the region's history, nature, and community spirit. With approximately 3,500 fireworks launched, the festival coincides with the local "Benkei Matsuri," creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

The main attraction is the overwhelming scale of the display. The climax features the "1,000m Golden Panorama Fireworks," a magnificent sight that fills the entire sky with golden light. The show includes various stages:

The venue is Ogihama, Tanabe City. Due to extreme congestion, the use of public transportation is strongly recommended.
Parking Information
Access to the Tanabe Ogihama Coast Parking (paid) will be restricted during the following times for safety:
- *Entry Restriction**: Around 17:00 to 22:00
- *Exit Restriction**: 20:00 to 21:00
Temporary parking lots are available at Tanabe Dai-ichi Elementary School, Bunri Multipurpose Ground, Toyo Junior High School, and Takao Junior High School, but spaces are limited. Please do not park on the streets.

Managing Crowds
Parking lots usually fill up very early, so please plan your arrival with plenty of time. Having small change ready will help you exit the parking areas more smoothly.
Safety & Evacuation
As the event is held by the sea, please follow the instructions of security staff immediately if a tsunami warning or strong tremors occur. Designated evacuation sites near Ogihama include the Kinan Cultural Center and Tanabe City Budokan.

- *Payment Method**: You may need small change for parking fees. Please note that 10,000, 5,000, and 2,000 yen bills cannot be used; please prepare coins.
- *Prohibited Items**: To ensure spectator safety, unauthorized drones, RC helicopters, and camera-equipped multi-copters are strictly prohibited.
- *Viewing Etiquette**: Please refrain from viewing the fireworks from fishing boats or motorboats.
- *Reservations**: No prior reservation is required, but arriving early is highly recommended due to expected crowds.
