6 min di lettura

Event Overview

The Tachikawa Festival at Showa Kinen National Government Park is a historic summer event that began in 1954. With over 60 years of history, it is a deeply beloved tradition in the Tachikawa area. The display features a variety of impressive fireworks, including large-scale shells and wide star mines, which vividly color the night sky of Tachikawa.

Highlights & How to Enjoy

The main highlight is the powerful, immersive display that seems to fill the entire sky. The massive shells and wide star mines offer an overwhelming sense of beauty and scale. You can fully enjoy the traditional atmosphere of a Japanese summer within the vast, open space of the National Government Showa Kinen Park.

Date & Schedule

The event is scheduled for July 31, 2027.

The fireworks are expected to launch from 19:15 to 20:15.

Venue & Access

The main venue is "Minna no Harappa" (Everyone's Field) within Showa Kinen Park.

To reach the venue, you must walk from the various gates of the park. Since surrounding roads will have traffic restrictions, the use of public transportation (such as JR Tachikawa Station or Nishi-Tachikawa Station) is highly recommended. As parking near the venue is limited, we suggest checking the traffic regulation maps in advance.

Participation Tips

To manage crowds and ensure smooth operations, the main viewing area (Minna no Harappa and surroundings) is designated as a paid area. To enter this area, you must purchase a "Fireworks Viewing Area Ticket" or a "Special Sponsor Ticket" in advance and wear the required wristband on the day of the event.

If you do not have a ticket, please consider viewing the display from outside the park area. Please note that tickets are non-refundable after purchase.
