Santeisai is a significant annual ritual held at Akama Jingu Shrine in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, to honor the memory of Emperor Antoku. The festival is rooted in the history of the Battle of Dan-no-ura, where the remains of Emperor Antoku were enshrined at Amida-ji (the current Akama Jingu). The absolute highlight of this festival is the 'Joro Dochu' procession.
