Satsumasendai Hanya Matsuri is a deeply rooted traditional festival held in the heart of Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The event features a diverse program including street performances and the 'Satsumasendai Rekishi Emaki' procession, which showcases the region's rich history. Access Information

• *By Train**: Approximately 10 minutes on foot from JR Sendai Station.
• *By Air/Bus**: Take an airport bus from Kagoshima Airport to Sendai Station (approx. 70 minutes).
• *By Car**: Approximately 30 minutes from Kagoshima IC, 3 hours 40 minutes from Fukuoka IC, or 2 hours 30 minutes from Miyazaki IC.

Important Tips for Visitors

Significant traffic restrictions will be in place around Route 3 on the day of the event. Restrictions are scheduled from 11:45 to 16:30, which may limit vehicle access to the area. To secure a good view of the parade and procession, we recommend arriving at the venue early. Please note that the use of drones is strictly prohibited.
