Its roots date back to 1956, originating as the 'Zento Eisa Competition' to boost local commerce in the former Koza City. Today, it is a vital cultural event that shares the beauty of Eisa, a traditional Okinawan performing art, with the world.
The main highlight is the dynamic and powerful Eisa performances by elite groups from across the prefecture.
