The Noshiro Fireworks Festival is a premier summer event held in Nosiro City, Akita Prefecture. Set against the majestic backdrop of the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage site, the display from Nosiro Port offers an overwhelming sense of scale. With approximately 15,000 fireworks launched, the show is famous for its wide-angle star mine displays. Watch as massive shells, including the legendary 3-shaku tama, paint the night sky in a brilliant concert of light.
The main attraction is the powerful 'Star Mine' sequences. Seeing the light dance over the silhouette of the Shirakami-Sanchi mountains is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The sheer impact of the large-scale shells is truly awe-inspiring. Around the venue, you can enjoy the quintessential Japanese summer atmosphere with many food stalls. Savoring local street food like Takoyaki or grilled squid while watching the fireworks is the ultimate way to enjoy the festival.

The display is scheduled from 19:30 to approximately 21:00. Please check the official website after 08:30 on the day of the event for the final decision regarding the schedule and any updates.
The viewing area is the Nosiro Port Shimohama Pier Special Venue (53-9 Hamadori-cho, Nosiro, Akita 016-0813).
To ensure safety and comfort, this is a fully reservation-only event. There are no free viewing areas, so you must secure a ticket in advance. Entry is not permitted without a ticket. Since the area gets very crowded, we recommend arriving early to enjoy the food stalls without long queues.
