The Meiji Sai is a traditional ritual held at Meiji Jingu Shrine to honor the achievements of Emperor Meiji. Established in 1920, the shrine enshrines Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. It is a revered historical site where people gather to pray for world peace and national prosperity.
During this season, Meiji Jingu is enveloped in the vibrant colors of autumn. The scenery around the ponds in the Meiji Jingu Inner Garden, framed by colorful maple leaves, is truly captivating. Through the Meiji Sai, you can feel the profound weight of Japanese tradition and ritual.
