The Kushi Matsuri (Comb Festival) held at Yasui Konpiragu is a sacred ritual to offer gratitude and purification to old combs and hairpins. Based on the tradition of the 'Kushi-zuka' (Comb Mound) established in 1961, this ceremony honors the tools that enhance the beauty of hair, which is considered a vital part of a woman's essence.
