Ishidoriya Matsuri is a deeply rooted community event with immense energy. Because the floats move through the town, you can enjoy the scenery from many different vantage points. The float procession during the evening is particularly magical, as the glow of the lanterns creates a mystical atmosphere. Be sure to experience the raw power of the portable shrines and the traditional costumes up close.
Since the festival continues into the evening, we recommend dressing in layers. Although it is the start of autumn, temperatures can drop after sunset, so bringing a light jacket or sweater is highly recommended. Additionally, please be mindful of your surroundings and maintain good etiquette to ensure you do not obstruct the path of the floats or the crowd.
