Ishidoriya Matsuri is a vibrant traditional celebration that heralds the arrival of autumn. Schedule

The festival takes place over three days. The main events are as follows:

• *September 8 & 9**: Free-roaming float procession. From 13:00 to 21:00, spectacular floats will decorate various locations throughout Ishidoriya town.
• *September 10**: The official Ishidoriya Matsuri Parade. Starting from 12:55 at the Festival Plaza (near Bunka Taxi to the Station Entrance intersection).

Venue & Access

The festivities are held at various locations throughout Ishidoriya and around the central Festival Plaza.

• *8th & 9th (Free-roaming floats)**: Various locations throughout Ishidoriya town.
• *10th (Main Parade)**: Festival Plaza (area between Bunka Taxi and the Station Entrance intersection).

As crowds are expected around the venues, we recommend using public transportation or allowing plenty of time for travel.

Ishidoriya Matsuri is a deeply rooted community event with immense energy. Because the floats move through the town, you can enjoy the scenery from many different vantage points. The float procession during the evening is particularly magical, as the glow of the lanterns creates a mystical atmosphere. Clothing & Etiquette

Since the festival continues into the evening, we recommend dressing in layers. Although it is the start of autumn, temperatures can drop after sunset, so bringing a light jacket or sweater is highly recommended. Additionally, please be mindful of your surroundings and maintain good etiquette to ensure you do not obstruct the path of the floats or the crowd.
