Cultural Heritage Watching is an immersive learning event designed to deepen your interest in local history and cultural assets by challenging ancient techniques. Participants can experience ancient craftsmanship that is rare in modern times, such as pottery making, 'magatama' (comma-shaped bead) crafting, and traditional fire lighting. Additionally, you can deepen your understanding of history by observing authentic pottery and stone tools in the reference room.
The greatest charm of this event is the opportunity to use your hands to master ancient skills. This is a highly exclusive program specifically for students (3rd grade elementary to 3rd grade junior high) residing in Kanoya. Capacity is limited to 20 people, and a lottery may be held if applications exceed the limit. Pre-registration via the dedicated form is mandatory. Since the program spans two days, attendance on both days is a strict requirement.
