The Aburatsu Port Festival Fireworks is a quintessential summer tradition held at Aburatsu Port in Nichinan City. The sight of massive, colorful fireworks blooming over the tranquil port scenery creates a magical atmosphere that captivates all spectators. As a highlight of this local community festival, it is a special event that draws many visitors every summer.
The main attraction is the powerful fireworks display that lights up the night sky. The stunning contrast between the fireworks and the port landscape offers a once-in-a-lifetime emotional experience. Beyond the fireworks, you can enjoy various related events such as public displays of patrol boats and Shogi tournaments, allowing you to experience the diverse charms of the local culture.
The event is held on July 18. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 20:00. Please note that the event will proceed in light rain, but in the case of severe weather, it may be postponed to the following day, July 19. Since details may change due to weather conditions, we recommend checking the latest information in advance.
The venue is within Aburatsu Port, Nishimachi, Nichinan City. There is no parking available at the venue itself. If you are arriving by car, please use the designated temporary parking lots at either "Aburatsu Port East Pier (Pier 11)" or "Odozu Port." A shuttle bus service will operate from these locations to the venue area (in front of the former Aburatsu Fishing Port) starting from 16:00. Please note that a "Parking Ticket" must be purchased in advance to use the parking areas.
For a more comfortable viewing experience, we highly recommend booking paid spectator seats. Options include paid seats near the main venue (near Aburatsu Port West Green Park) and private seats that include dedicated parking. Since paid seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, early booking is strongly encouraged. It is also helpful to check for local food stalls and food vendor information in advance to fully enjoy the festival atmosphere.
As this is an outdoor nighttime event, please dress appropriately for the season and the evening temperature. The use of open flames (fire) is strictly prohibited at the venue. If you use paid spectator seats, please keep your ticket safe until the end of the event, as they cannot be reissued. Don't forget to bring your parking/shuttle bus-related tickets if required. Please check the official website for specific payment methods and reservation details.
