Danzawa Lake is an artificial lake created by the Miho Dam, located in Yamakita Town, Ashigarakami District, Kanagawa Prefecture. Completed in 1978, it serves as a vital water source for the Kanagawa region. Surrounded by the Tanzawa-Oyama Quasi-National Park, the lake is celebrated as one of the '50 Scenic Views of Kanagawa' and one of the '100 Best Dam Lakes' in Japan. The creation of Danzawa Lake was part of the development of the Sai River system. To preserve this heritage, the 'Danzawa Lake Memorial Hall' and 'Miho no Ie'—a collection of relocated traditional houses from the late Edo period—were established.
