Kogouchi Shrine is a serene Shinto shrine located in Kawai, Okutama Town, Nishitama District, Tokyo. The shrine holds a unique historical significance, as it was established to preserve and carry forward the spiritual traditions and the deities of the former Ogouchi Village, which was submerged during the construction of the Ogouchi Reservoir.
