Matsukawa Geothermal Museum is a promotional facility for the Matsukawa Geothermal Power Station located in Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture. The Matsukawa Geothermal Power Station commenced operations on October 8, 1966. In honor of this date, October 8th is now designated as "Geothermal Power Day."
