Each residence is partitioned by natural hedges, creating a harmonious blend of man-made architecture and the natural environment.

A notable example is the Sakamoto Family Residence, believed to have been built during the Bunsei era (with the main building reconstructed in 2009). Visitors can also admire the '细目' (Saimoku) family gardens, which feature stone walls and plantings of Mizuki, Satsuki, and other traditional shrubs. Additionally, the Kanesaki Shrine (formerly Suwa Shrine) boasts a main hall dating back to the Kanpo era, offering a beautiful view toward the east from its grounds.
