Shakuson Jodo-e is a traditional ritual held at Daian-ji Temple in Nara Prefecture. Daian-ji is a temple with a profound history, playing a vital role alongside Todai-ji and Kofuku-ji during the Nara and Heian periods. Once known as 'Daikan-ji,' it served as an official temple for praying for the Emperor's well-being and as a center for regulating monks.

The temple is also the site associated with Gonso Daitoku, the teacher of Kobo Daishi (Kukai).
