The 'Gonenbi Prayer Service & Goma' is a ritual dedicated to the temple's main deity, the Eleven-faced Avalokitesvara (Kannon). Koyama-ji is a historic temple said to have been founded by the monk Gyoki at the request of Emperor Shomu. The grounds feature significant cultural assets, including the main hall, a three-story pagoda, Nio gates, and a bell tower. This ritual is held for various personal wishes, such as relief from daily anxieties, protection from bad luck (yakudoshi), or safe driving.
