Yumeminato Tower and Yumeminato Park are iconic landmarks located in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture. From the 43-meter high observation deck, you can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the vast Sea of Japan horizon and the majestic silhouette of Mt. Daisen. The tower complex includes a shopping street featuring local Tottori specialties and a cafe, allowing visitors to experience regional culture alongside the scenery. Adjacent to the tower, Yumeminato Park serves as a beautiful seaside green space, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a quiet break by the ocean.
The facility was constructed as the symbol tower for the 'San'in Yumeminato Expo' held in 1997. As a legacy of the exposition, this area has become a beloved main park for both local residents and tourists in Sakaiminato. The design of the tower and the surrounding park development reflect the intention to preserve the history of the Expo, making it a structure that symbolizes the local history and the natural beauty of the region.

The highlight is the observation room located 43 meters above ground. On clear days, the contrast between the deep blue of the Sea of Japan and the greenery of Mt. Dates is spectacular. Inside the tower, you can explore the 'Minato-machi Shopping Street' to find local delicacies and regional crafts. For a more relaxing experience, the 4th-floor 'TOWER's CAFE' allows you to enjoy food and drinks while gazing at the view. Additionally, the facility often hosts exhibitions that offer insight into various cultures, serving as a place to learn about local history.
The landscape changes beautifully with the seasons. In spring, the park comes alive with fresh greenery, while autumn offers vibrant foliage. While daytime visits allow you to enjoy the bright, sparkling colors of the sea, sunset is highly recommended. During twilight, the sky turns a brilliant orange, creating a stunning boundary between the sea and the sky. At night, the tower's illumination provides a different charm. Depending on the time of day and season, the light and atmosphere will offer a completely different experience.

Beyond just viewing the scenery, visitors can engage with local culture. The exhibition rooms sometimes feature displays related to international cultures, and the tower often hosts family-friendly events, such as areas for children to play. In the park area, you can enjoy a leisurely walk along well-maintained paths and boardwalks while feeling the sea breeze. For a truly relaxing experience, the nearby 'Minato Onsen Honokami' allows you to soak in hot springs while gazing at Mt. Daisen and the Sea of Japan.
The area around Yumeminato Park is rich in natural beauty. Right next to the tower is 'Minato Onsen Honokami,' a hot spring facility equipped with outdoor baths and saunas. For those traveling by air, Yonago Kitaro Airport is within driving distance, serving as a convenient gateway to the region. The surrounding green spaces are designed for relaxation amidst a natural, coastal environment.
As the tower is located by the sea, it is highly recommended to bring a light jacket or windbreaker to protect against sea breezes. For payments at the shops and cafes within the tower, cash, credit cards, and major transportation IC cards (such as Suica/Pasmo) are accepted. While the facility is generally barrier-free, please watch your step when walking through the park areas. We recommend checking for any special event schedules before your visit. Please follow all facility rules regarding photography and maintain a respectful atmosphere in the public park areas.
