Wakakono Park is a beautiful, rose-themed destination located in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture. Its most prominent feature is the exquisite Rose Garden, developed to share the beauty of the rose—the official flower of the city—with the community. The garden hosts approximately 1,750 bushes of 180 different varieties. The park is designed for relaxation, featuring water elements like fountains, open grassy lawns, and an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of the entire rose garden, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in nature.

The Rose Garden was established in 1994 with the goal of bringing the charm of roses closer to the local citizens. Following a comprehensive five-year renewal project starting in 2015, the park was transformed into an even more enriched facility. It has become a beloved local landmark where visitors can experience the changing seasons through the blooming cycles of the roses, fostering a deep connection with local culture and nature.

Visiting during these windows ensures you see the roses at their most magnificent. While the daytime is perfect for recreation near the fountains and lawns, we recommend visiting from the morning to early afternoon on sunny days to capture the most vivid colors of the flowers.
