Unazuki Onsen is a historic hot spring town located at the entrance to the Kurobe Gorge in Kurobe City, Toyama Prefecture. The defining feature of this area is its source water, drawn from the high-altitude Kuro-nagi Onsen upstream of the Kurobe River. The source water is exceptionally hot, reaching 92–98°C, and is delivered to the town at a comfortable 63°C. The water is a clear, colorless simple thermal spring. It is highly regarded for its high concentration of metasilicic acid, which provides excellent moisturizing properties for the skin, making it a perfect destination for relaxation.
The history of Unazuki Onsen is deeply connected to the abundant water resources of the Kurobe River.
