After a period of transition where the land was used for agriculture following the war, the park was fully developed in 1981. Today, it serves as a vital green hub for local residents and visitors alike. Interestingly, the park also shares a unique coexistence with urban infrastructure, as the depot for the Nippori-Toneri Liner railway is located beneath the park grounds.
