Tofuku-ji is the head temple of the Tofuku-ji school of the Rinzai sect, located in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto. Founded in 1236, this historic temple complex is one of Japan's most significant Buddhist sites, boasting numerous National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties.
