Terayama Ikoi no Hiroba is a multi-purpose park located on a scenic plateau at an altitude of 247m in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The expansive grounds host a variety of facilities, including the "Sendai Space Museum" (a science exhibition center), the "Shonen Shizen no Ie" (a youth lodging facility), sports fields, and go-kart tracks. The park offers breathtaking views of the Sendai River below and, depending on the weather and season, even the Koshikijima Islands floating in the East China Sea.
This area has been developed as a regional hub that combines the natural environment with education and recreation. The adjacent "Sendai Space Museum" serves as an essential facility for deepening understanding of astronomy and science, playing a vital role in local education and youth development. The park is also highly recommended for nighttime visits; on clear nights, you can experience professional-grade stargazing in coordination with the Sendai Space Museum's operating hours. We recommend daytime visits for active recreation and nighttime visits for a mystical encounter with the stars.

Popular activities include driving go-karts or mini electric cars, observing rabbits in the animal area, and enjoying sports on the wide grass fields.
