Terasaka Rice Terraces

One of Saitama's most beautiful terraced landscapes, set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Buko. The scenery changes beautifully with the seasons: the fresh greenery of rice planting in late May, the lush summer fields, and the stunning golden harvest accompanied by millions of red spider lilies in September. In summer, the 'Hotaru Kagaribi Festival' creates a magical atmosphere with approximately 600 bonfires lighting up the night. It is a perfect place to experience the serene, traditional soul of the Japanese countryside.
