Tenku no Poppy is a vast poppy field located at an altitude of approximately 600m in Higashichichibu Village, Saitama Prefecture. The landscape is characterized by a massive 4-hectare meadow where red poppies bloom in abundance, creating a striking visual impact. The contrast between the vivid red flowers and the clear blue sky is a unique spectacle found only here. During the blooming season, various events are held, including the sale of local specialties and gourmet food, and additional parking areas are opened to accommodate visitors.
This area was originally used as mountain pastureland. To showcase the changing beauty of nature, poppy cultivation was introduced to provide a seasonal landscape that transforms the scenery. The community works together to promote this seasonal beauty through the sale of local products and the presence of food trucks, making the experience a true community-driven seasonal event.
