Takase Dam, located in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, is a magnificent rockfill dam with a height of 176m and a volume of 11.59 million cubic meters. As the second tallest dam in Japan, it was selected as one of the "100 Best Dam Lakes" in 2005.
