Snow Park Oze Tokura is a premier ski resort located in Katashina Village, Gunsen, Gunma Prefecture. This area has a long history of being an early adopter of full-scale snowboarding-friendly terrain. Today, it is particularly renowned for its advanced snow park facilities, including jumps and terrain features. The resort is characterized by a diverse slope layout that caters to everyone from absolute beginners to highly skilled riders.
Formerly known as Oze Tokura Ski Area, the facility has evolved into the specialized 'Snow Park Oze Tokura' to better support the growing snowboarding culture. It serves as a vital hub for winter sports in the region, harmoniously integrated with the surrounding natural environment of the Oze area.

The slopes are meticulously categorized by difficulty level to ensure a safe and fun experience. Beginners can enjoy the Lesson Slopes or the Romance Course. Intermediate riders will find plenty of excitement on the Juuyapira Slopes or the Panorama and Kamoshika Courses. For advanced enthusiasts, the A-Course, Dynamic Course, and Arayama Course offer thrilling challenges. A major highlight is the 'Yuki Bancho Park,' a dedicated area for freestyle enthusiasts. Additionally, a dedicated Kids Park with slides and sledding is available for families with young children.
The peak season runs from December through March. January and February are particularly recommended as the snow quality becomes very stable, making it ideal for both skiing and snowboarding. Standard operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but please check the official website for any seasonal changes or weather-related adjustments.
Beyond standard downhill skiing and snowboarding, visitors can experience high-action freestyle sports in the specialized snow parks. For families, the Kids Park offers a great way to enjoy the snow through sledding and other gentle activities. With a wide variety of courses, you can easily find the perfect run that matches your current skill level.
Located in the beautiful Katashina Village of Gunma Prefecture, the resort is surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. The area is near the Oze National Park, making it an excellent destination not just for winter sports, but also for seasonal nature observation and hiking in other seasons.
As this is an outdoor winter activity, please ensure you wear heavy-duty thermal clothing. Essential gear includes ski/snowboard wear, gloves, goggles, and a helmet. If you are driving, snow tires or tire chains are mandatory due to potential snow and ice on the roads. Please practice safe riding and be mindful of other guests to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
