One of the greatest joys is taking the lift to higher elevations to soak in the panoramic views. Your experience at Nishitatakayama will change significantly depending on when you visit. During the winter (late December to late March), the focus is entirely on winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. Lifts generally begin operation around 8:30 AM or 8:40 AM and run until the late afternoon. For the best experience, many visitors prefer the morning hours when the snow quality is most stable. In the summer (late June to early November), the resort offers scenic lift rides. Please note that lift availability and operating hours may change based on weather conditions and maintenance, so it is highly recommended to check the status before your visit.
Winter activities center on downhill skiing and snowboarding across various skill levels. The lift system allows you to easily navigate between different points on the mountain. In the summer, the primary activity is enjoying the mountain scenery via lift rides, allowing you to feel the refreshing atmosphere of the high-altitude plateau.
