Satoyama Garden is a beautiful park located in Asahi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, featuring a diverse arrangement of seasonal plants and flowers. The garden serves as a center for promoting flower and greenery culture, inheriting the legacy of the 33rd National Urban Greening Yokohama Fair held in 2017. The vast grounds include beautifully maintained areas such as the Grand Flower Bed, the Welcome Garden, and the Yato rapeseed flower fields. Visitors can also enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape from the observation deck, offering a constantly changing scenery of seasonal flora.
This site was developed as part of Yokohama City's greening initiatives. It specifically carries forward the achievements of the '33rd National Urban Greening Yokohama Fair,' maintaining a garden culture that harmonizes with the local natural environment. The 'Satoyama Garden Festa,' held twice a year in spring and autumn, is a signature event that symbolizes the historical role of this location. The garden plays a vital role in communicating local natural environments and plant culture through its seasonal displays.

The park features a Grand Flower Bed filled with colorful blooms and a Welcome Garden showcasing seasonal plants. During the spring and autumn event seasons, the landscape is particularly spectacular with flowers in full bloom. An observation deck is also available, allowing visitors to view the surrounding scenery from an elevated vantage point. The grounds also include forest areas and shaded paths, characterized by a landscape that utilizes the natural terrain of the site.
The scenery changes significantly depending on the season. In spring (around March to May), you can enjoy rapeseed blossoms and various spring flowers. In autumn (around October to November), the garden features a different selection of seasonal plants. The best times to visit are spring and autumn when plant growth is most prominent. The park is open daily from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy the vibrant colors of the plants during bright daylight hours.

Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls while observing seasonal plant life. During special event periods, the park hosts various activities such as food truck (kitchen car) stalls, stamp rallies, and the 'Nofuku Marche' (agricultural-social welfare market). These events offer a wonderful opportunity to experience not only the plants but also the local food culture and community activities. Walking through the well-maintained paths and forest areas allows you to experience the changing landscape shaped by the terrain.
Satoyama Garden is situated in Asahi-ku, Yokohama, an area where residential neighborhoods and natural environments coexist. During major seasonal events, shuttle buses may be operated to assist visitors. The surrounding area is dotted with various spots related to Yokohama's urban greening initiatives.

As the park contains unpaved paths and forest areas, we highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Regarding payments, please check in advance whether cash, credit cards, or transit IC cards (like Suica/Pasmo) are accepted at food trucks or event stalls. While some English signage may be available, please check on-site for detailed English-language support from staff. While no reservation is required for standard park entry, it is recommended to check the official website for the latest information regarding specific events or food truck availability.
