The most recommended time to visit Sikamaki Wetlands is from early April to late April. This period coincides with the peak blooming of the Asian skunk cabbage (Mizubasho) and the local festival, offering the most vibrant and lively atmosphere. By May, the vegetation grows more lush and green. For the best experience, we recommend visiting during daylight hours to clearly observe the vivid colors and subtle changes in the natural scenery.
The primary activity is nature walking. The wetlands feature well-maintained boardwalks (wooden paths), allowing you to experience nature closely and safely. During the festival period, you can also engage in cultural experiences such as purchasing local specialties or tasting traditional regional dishes.
