The Sapporo Beer Hokkaido Brewery is a premier brewing facility located in Eniwa, Hokkaido. This is a perfect destination for those looking to deepen their knowledge of Sapporo Beer products while enjoying the taste of 'Sapporo Classic'—a premium beer exclusive to the Hokkaido region. The facility also features an onsite restaurant where you can pair your beer with delicious local Hokkaido cuisine.
Sapporo Beer is symbolized by the star sign that stands tall against the Hokkaido sky. At this facility, you can touch upon the rich culture of beer brewing that has been passed down through generations in this land. In particular, 'Sapporo Classic' was born in 1985 and is widely recognized as a brand deeply rooted in the local Hokkaido community.
The highlight of the visit is the 'Sapporo Classic☆Tour.' During this tour, you will be guided through the intricate steps of the beer brewing process. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy a tasting of Sapporo Classic at the Communication Stage. Additionally, the onsite restaurant, 'Valhalla,' offers a wonderful dining experience where you can enjoy local specialties like Genghis Khan (grilled mutton) alongside a cold beer.
Factory tours are scheduled at several time slots throughout the day: morning sessions (starting at 10:30 or 11:00) and afternoon sessions (starting at 13:30, 14:00, or 15:00). The total duration of the tour is approximately 60 minutes, consisting of about 40 minutes of guided instruction followed by 20 to 40 minutes for tasting and relaxation. The facility also features a beautiful garden where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
The primary activity is participating in the 'Sapporo Classic☆Tour.' This structured program allows you to learn the science behind brewing before enjoying the reward of a tasting. During the tasting session, you can enjoy two servings of the refreshing Sapporo Classic. For a complete cultural experience, we highly recommend dining at the restaurant to taste the authentic flavors of Hokkaido.
Please note that this facility is located in Eniwa, Hokkaido. It is a different location from the 'Sapporo Beer Museum' located in Sapporo city, so please check your destination carefully. If you are traveling from Sapporo Station, you can use the route via the Sapporo Beer Garden Station.
To ensure safety and hygiene, visitors are requested to refrain from visiting if they have a fever or are feeling unwell. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made via the website or by phone starting 4 weeks prior to the event date. We suggest checking the available plans and booking in advance rather than visiting without a reservation.
